A VM with a public floating IP and a data volume, hardened with a security group (only SSH and HTTPS in) and captured to a fresh image nightly by an image schedule. This assumes the Networking example's resources (kvindo_vpc_subnet.demo) are in the same Terraform configuration.

Volume backup and restore

A standalone volume backed up to an image via spec.volume_id, then restored into a new volume via spec.image_id. spec.vm_id/spec.volume_id on kvindo_image are mutually exclusive, as are spec.os_image_id/spec.image_id on kvindo_volume — only a volume-sourced image (status.is_vm_image = false) can restore a volume.
